This was a wonderful flight, around to the western side of Wilpena Pound in Simon's Stemme.
(Thanks Simon!!)
There was plenty of ridge lift: often away from the pound because the land
underneath wasn't flat. A long strip of cloud poked upwind from the rocks,
with some kind of lift happening underneath in places. Cloud formed
and lifted as showers passed. The scenery was really something, with
afternoon light, and some of the most spiky terrain, if you looked down.
